The cultural and sports complex of the TOPC operates in the center of Turkmenbashi city. Schoolchildren and adults enthusiastically join sports groups in volleyball, basketball, mini-football, wrestling, fitness, aerobics, swimming, table tennis.

In accordance with the charter of the cultural and sports complex of the TOPC, cultural events and sports competitions are held so that oil workers and city residents can spend their leisure time in an interesting and effective way.

There are cultural, sports, technical, economic departments and the creative team “Dagdan”.

Guided by the principle of harmonious implementation of new principles of national traditions and advanced architectural and engineering thinking in accordance with the spirit of the times during the period of prosperity of our sovereign state under the leadership of our Esteemed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the cultural and sports complex was completely reconstructed in 2014 by order of the Turkmenbashi oil processing complex, the contractor was the State Concern “Turkmennebitgazgurlushyk”.

Spacious rooms, halls and corridors were always distinguished by their features, after the repair the magnificence of the complex became even more beautiful. The complex was supplemented by new buildings. On the ground floor of the stadium there is a swimming pool, a gym, a pool and table tennis hall with all the facilities for training, a gymnastics gym and a fitness room. The former gym and sports ground were repaired, conditions for athletes and coaches were improved.

In the cultural and sports complex, oilmen are engaged under the motto “In a healthy body – a healthy spirit.” They successfully perform at competitions of city, velayat and state level. Students of the city are also enthusiastically engaged in sports sections such as volleyball, basketball, futsal, wrestling, fitness, aerobics, swimming and table tennis. The working rooms of cultural figures, specialists, classrooms of singers and musicians, the recording studio are well equipped and equipped with the necessary musical instruments. The “Dagdan” folklore groupe, which has been part of the cultural and sports complex since 2004, has made a significant contribution to the development of Turkmen culture and art. This folklore group successfully performs at state and international festivals, and wins prizes. Also in the Cultural and Sports Complex there is the “Lyalezar” Children’s Dance Troupe. They take part in cultural events and delight the public with their performances.

Also in the center there are computer and sewing circles, which helps citizens to spend their leisure with interest, and young people to help choose a profession.

The main building, known as the Palace of Culture, houses the central administrative building, accounting, consultation room, conference room and office premises. All necessary conditions have been created for the organization of concerts, performances, cultural performances on stage in a large hall. Equipment, technical means, convenient fitting rooms, changing rooms, dressing rooms meet modern standards. All this helps to achieve a high quality of work.

On the second floor of the Palace of Culture is a library. Book lovers have the opportunity to take home to read the book, use the media in the reading room, as well as electronic text of works.

On the third floor is the Museum of Labor Glory of the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries. The museum presents stands with photographs, layouts and products thanks to which you can familiarize yourself with the history and achievements of the plant. At the entrance from the side of the railway station there is also a self-supporting department “Durmushhyzmatlary”, which is under the jurisdiction of a complex of factories, offices of employees of the department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Balkan region.

There is also a restaurant with a capacity of up to 500 people at a time, which will serve oil workers and residents of the city during various cultural events, banquets, weddings, music evenings. The cosy atmosphere of the restaurant and excellent cuisine will delight visitors.

Oil workers’ children also have many opportunities to spend time here. Because the newly built playground and cafeteria for them speaks of the fact that the younger generation is surrounded by great care during the period of prosperity of our strong state. The site is decorated with fountains, a gazebo, chairs, shady trees, beautiful flowers, and residents come here to relax with the whole family.

The architectural ensemble (arch, fountains, slopes) on a large square in front of the cultural and sports complex is an integral part of the building. The gardens around the complex, the blooming of flowers around the site make the residents of the coastal city of Turkmenbashi proud to relax, have fun, usefully and effectively spend their leisure time.
